Towage service is required for ship carrying dangerous cargo such as oil/gas. When the ship approaches the dock of PPAP, the ship needs to anchor at the latitude 11’28’28.81″N and Longitude: 105 8’36.70″E and wait for tugboat assistance. The captain of the ship alerts shipping agency for tug assistance. Shipping agency relays the order to Harbour Master/Service, and then the Harbour Master/Service sends Tug boat to assist the docking process of a ship. Two tugboats are in service currently. The persons operating the tugboats are required to have a license from the Ministry of Public Works and Transport.
